Heating and Serving Instructions

Refrigerate upon Receipt

As soon as you receive the HoneyBaked Ham® or Turkey, remove the meat from the cooler and refrigerate. Hams take approximately 24-36 hours to thaw in the refrigerator. Turkey Breasts take approximately 12-24 hours to thaw in the refrigerator. If kept in the refrigerator, the Ham will stay fresh for 7 to 10 days, and the Turkey for 5 to 7 days.

Serve at Room Temperature

Both the HoneyBaked Ham and Turkey Breast are fully cooked, sliced and ready to serve. For best flavor, take the Ham or Turkey Breast out of the refrigerator and let stand at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before serving. Refrigerate unused portions immediately after the meal. We recommend that you do not heat the ham or Turkey – they are made to enjoy right from the refrigerator. If you prefer your meat warmed, gently heat on low heat only the portion you are eating, and do not heat the entire ham. Heating may cause the meat to dry out and lose flavor.

Store for Future Use

HoneyBaked Hams® can be frozen for future use. To freeze a ham upon receipt, leave it in the foil and insulated bag it arrived in, and place in the coldest part of your freezer. To freeze unused ham portions after opening, wrap the ham in aluminum foil and freeze within 5 days of thawing. The HoneyBaked Ham can be frozen for up to 6 weeks. To serve after freezing, remove from the insulated bag and place in refrigerator for 24-48 to thaw before serving. Once thawed, the Ham will keep for 2 days.
